We only raise and breed FULLBLOOD (100%) Simmental. Our animals offer both Traditional (Swiss) and Fleckvieh (German) attributes, with Today's market requirements in mind.
For the 2013 breeding season, we welcome Saro Wil Maestro (SARO 5W) as our new mature herd bull. Wil Maestro is a son of Double Bar D Maestro, and carries the bloodlines of Bar 5 SA Hero, Baltimore, et JB Dr. Duke.
We also use a choice of leading A.I. sires to develop our program. We always select for ease of calving, good muscling, and especially high fertility and milk. We use bulls who will tend to create a synergy with our foundation females and add positive genetic traits to o
ur herd. Fleckvieh influences are important to us but we also strive to produce animals who will perform well under a variety of conditions and will offer the features which have made the Simmental breed a world leader in the beef industry: muscling, milk, easy calving, maternal aptitude and fertility.
Our foundation females - Mama cows - come from a close-knit range of performance bloodlines produced over the years by well-known Simmental breeders. All are selected to meet the requirements to produce top-notch individuals who will improve the breed and offer added benefits to our customers. Strict culling rules insure only the best are kept as replacement or offered for sale.
